Recently I was at a conference that made me do a tremendous paradigm shift in my online and offline business. A paradigm is defined as a collection of habits.

And BOOM my habits just changed. In the next few days and weeks I am going to grow my income -10 times based on what i observed in the last week.

I have had to check myself really quick. Though I am not revealing all of my answers here are a few.

  • I am serving one of my greatest purposes on this site. But my greatest purpose will be found in my slight repositioning (paradigm shift).
  • I need to expand my personal brand even further than I already have.
  • The plus to being a member of a secret online business societies is that you get inside information. But the minus is that I forgot the importance of reapplication to others.
  • I need to do what I do BEST.

Bob Proctor has convinced me over the past year and a half to NOT JUST READ BUT STUDY THIS BOOK. Thus began my trip to find a good study group.

When I say STUDY I don’t mean in the text book quiz you later definition. I mean so  you can UNDERSTAND .

And after much searching I discovered that all of the “Think and Grow Rich” groups across the web seem to cover the content. But few are stressing the study acumen.

Bob Proctor has been reading a chapter a day for 49 years! And even in the book it is suggested by a Thomas Edison associate Dr Miller Reese Hutchinson in the following passage.

How to Position Yourself for Exponential Online Sales

Robert Kiyosaki is the author of Rich Dad Poor Dad which has sold millions around the world.

I want you to think about this really hard. Because to the right is a similar picture to many. I will explain to anyone who is new to this concept shortly.  But for now I wanted you to know that  few relate it to online entrepreneurship like I am about to expose to you. Lets start from the beginning. This 4 quad picture reveals how people become millionaires. And I am about to go over each and then point out your best positioning strategy online.

Ready? Good lets get started.

The Cashflow (wealth building) Quadrant

Employed: First is the top left quad for the employed people. Mr Kiyosaki says this represents the CEO’s and Presidents of companies that make millions. A great example is Lee Iacocca. I remember growing up reading books about Lee Iacocca. He was the president of Chrysler from the late 1970s to the early 1990s. I had all of the books on him. Unless you want to head Facebook or Amazon then I wouldn’t think this is your route. The best thing for us online entrepreneurs to learn from the leadership styles of these individuals.

Self employed: Second is the bottom left quad for the self employed people. Mr Kiyosaki says this represents the DIY entrepreneurs who have made millions. These are the people who have made millions doing it themselves. Besides online entrepreneurs there are:

  • Artists
  • Writers
  • Restaurant owners i.e. McDonalds brothers who originally created McDonalds
  • Merchants

Business owner: Third is the top right quad for the business owners. Mr Kiyosaki says this represents the the people who own business like the self employed. But the difference is that their model is not dependent on one person. Online business owners start getting excited.

Where You Money Grows Exponentially

Now pay attention. Here is where it gets interesting in the B quad. The major difference between the S quad and the B quad are usually discussed by many. But there is something they usually miss. See most are focusing on the fact that you have employees in the B quad versus doing it yourself in the S quad. And thats true but in the online world things are different.

For a moment I want you to forget the fact that you have employees. That’s insignificant (especially with outsourcing) when compared to the real point. B quad allows you to do something that no other quad does and thats replicate.

With a brick and mortar business model employees (leaders) from E quad help you with the replication process. And people who have a S quad business model could starve because if they get sick they lose money. Because they ARE their business.

Before I go any deeper into this lets move on to the I quad.

Investors: Last is the bottom right quad for the people and companies that invest money. Mr Kiyosaki says this represents the investor entrepreneurs who have made millions investing in the stock market and in private companies. Now many teach that this is where your money works for you.

But online in particular it is different. The power you have online is  incredible! You can control and replicate your business in ways that investors cannot. The investors can only go so far. That’s because investors don’t actually setup a systems that make money. They earn money from companies that setup systems that make money. And being in the I quad online can really get tricky with investing.

Let me show you the equation and how it relates to you building an online business. Remember that this is coming from an entrepreneurial perspective.

McDonalds example

  • B Quad = Ray Kroch who franchised the proccess
  • I Quad = McDonalds Investors
  • S Quad = McDonalds Brothers creators of the original McDonalds
  • E Quad = McDonalds President and Leadership

Online Businesses example

  • B Quad = YOU creator of systems that make money
  • I Quad = Investors funding of your online operations
  • S Quad = Anyone running (1-3) sites (bloggers)
  • E Quad = Leadership (outsourcing)

B Quad is the most powerful to online entrepreneurs because it allows us to build, control, and do business exponentially (replicate) better than any other industry. Also as i will point out below you almost don’t need a investor.

  • Our expenses are the lowest: Think about it domains are $10 a year and hosting on ave is $10 a month. And there is so much free info out there any premium info you pay for is going to be high quality (or should be).
  • Our return the greatest: As I am writing this I am showing my Niche Profit Classroom mentoring class how I made almost 100% of my investment in 12 days!!
  • Our operational times are the best: we are the only industry open for such a low price to reach billions 24/7. And the best part? We don’t have to be in front of the computer to sell.

Now most of you reading this are S Quads. But the thing to remember is that when you stop working you stop earning. The transition you have to make is to the B Quad. Because even when your sick or just want to spend time with family your business is still running.

Becoming a powerful B Quad requires that you run sites that run themselves. I am not saying give up your favorite blogs that you run. Just add more of a McDonalds/Walmart approach to new blogs/sites. Meaning solve to sell and create a unique selling proposition. But also have them running on automation then repeat the process.

You have to come to grips with some realistic facts. Even though you love what your doing online. You need a business model that doesn’t depend on you 24/7 and that can grow exponentially (replicate).

I originally wrote this for a site that unfortunately didn’t follow through on posting it. So of course I am bringing it back home. I know several areas in here already have been covered but at the best I at least get to reiterate several good points. For several advanced people these are DUH moments. But everyone’s skill level is different.

There are great opportunities to create and grow an business online. The real question is which business fits you best? Then the next most important thing to examine are your loves and talents. Do they match your current personality and skill set?

Here is an example  I am not a PPC (pay per click) adsense Google professional. That’s because it would drive me absolutely crazy to do that stuff. But if you want to talk about organic (free) traffic well then thats a totally different story.

Another example would be the “type” of niche your in. A Niche is a particular group looking for a answer to something. People searching online for “money making” is a niche. Others searching for auto parts is another niche and so on.

If you are an out of work accountant you should consider a business blog that educates people for free and for money. Not just any business but a specific niche or micro area. For instance a receivables blog or a easy accounting blog for creative people.

That’s because people are looking for solutions to their accounting issues. Same thing goes for out of work insurance brokers, mechanics, even WalMart employees. There is a niche in all of these professions waiting for you. As long as search engines have billions looking then there is a niche for you.

1. Pinpoint your top 3 loves and talents

2. Do some serious keyword searches. Your looking for less than 30,000 pages competing for your keyword phrases. Without getting too detailed into this a keyword phrase is a combo of 2 -3 keywords. For instance “make money blogging” is a 3 word key phrase. The idea here is that you want a lot of people searching but few competing.

3. launch a independently hosted wordpress blog. This means a blog that you pay the hosting for ($10 a month or less) the blog and have it setup there. Where as blogger or wordpress can host your site you are limited and they could own you.

Start doing your research there are more details but I have covered the main most important points.This is not a get rich quick scheme. I don’t don’t hype things up. However I do promise you that if you focus on an audience that is looking for a solution. then make sure the competition is low and have a unique approach. You will make money.

I was just thinking after a talk with a client. I wanted to share some ideas that I came up with them for creating quick sales. Some of these are “no brainers” but others will make you STOP and go “why didn’t I think of that?”

Put these to action now and see what happens

  1. Provide massive case study and turn that into a small report or audio/video (nothing major keep it simple).
  2. Share a online interview with a client (I am doing this very soon).
  3. Create a funny video to sell a humorous version of your product (I am also doing this)
  4. Create a “Just because Sale”
  5. DECREASE your products and services variety and and INCREASE your focus.

Whether you work (worked) at CNN or some other major broadcast company pay attention because this is going to get you paid.

I know some of you are thinking “why would you write this?” Afterall anyone coming out of the top news organization in the world should be set right? Wrong. Maybe (and I do mean maybe) if you are an on air personality yes. But little do most of us know there is what I call the iceberg structure.

I introduced the iceberg model in 2000 while working at the Universal Music Group. The model is used both for media as well as music. Here is how it works:

  • At the top you have the on air personalities
  • Reporters on location
  • Local on air reporters
  • Special investigation reporters
  • Production staff for the shows (producer, camera crews etc.)
  • Writers and background story journalist
  • The business department that covers the sales, online, on air and offline off air.
  • Support staff

Here is the problem…and only those on the inside know it. Because of the demand to work there or at any other major media most are underpaid. The thinking is of course they can be replaced. And they are right. There are roughly 35 qualified people according to one of my news sources who works for CNN for every 1 position. And this goes for the entire mass media in the USA.

So…………..wanna make a little extra money from good old daddy Darren? (laughing)

Here are some simple no brainer online business ideas all should be able to make side money with legally. And again this for both CNN and the entire media.

Solution:  Did you know there is a hundred million dollar industry in teaching people about what you do? Ask the colleges. And NO I don’t mean teach at a college though that wouldn’t be a bad idea. I am saying start creating premium inside content. And you don’t have to write ebooks. I know for some that could take time and be consuming.

Here is the better way. Write reports (10-20 pages) that reveal the INSIDE game to your industry. Create audio podcast series of sale doing the same. Make videos (not those super high quality ones) but the type that has a recorded voice and power point presentation. You could sell either all 3 separately or a combination of all.

Writers, production people and yes on air personalities all of you can could do this. Where do you start? At the beginning from your market research to your website launch. And guess what you have little competition given my last sentence. That’s because most do not know how to start. And almost virtually ALL will not follow through. Why? Because many Americans are lazy. That’s the plain truth. We want the simple answer and thus many take the easy roads.

That can be your advantage…your EDGE. The HOW comes with research and action.

Recently you have heard a LOT about Niche Profit Classroom 3.0 launch or relaunch from 2.0. The reason was because I don’t just refer it but actually do it. NPC 2.0 (old version) made me thousands. Now 3.0 is going to make me and others a lot more.

“But Darren isn’t the Product Launch Over?”

Isn’t it interesting how people disappear when the launch period ends? Seriously you will not hear about Niche Profit Classroom from some JVs until next year. This not to disrespect them or call them phonies. There are several really good people who recommended NPC.  But the major difference is:

1. They don’t actually do it and aren’t members of NPCs underground society

2. They are only promoting this to you for an initial time and because of reason #1 they cant talk in depth about NPC.

You can tell the difference between a JV or affiliate marketing campaign and someone who actually does it by the following:

  • Mediocre affiliate marketers and JVs call themselves affiliate marketers and JVs while AMAZINGLY real marketers call them selves by their first name and never use the A or J word.
  • Mediocre affiliate marketers and JVs promote a product or program while AMAZINGLY real marketers take ownership of it and can break it down piece by piece.
  • Mediocre affiliate marketers and JVs END their promotions at a certain time then move on to the next new hot shiny thing. While AMAZINGLY real marketers will talk about it all year long and in detail. i.e. video preview, interviews, personal stories, and testimonials etc. I mean if it was great 2 weeks ago and the hottest thing out why are you selling something else with the same dialogue?
  • Mediocre affiliate marketers and JVs give you every reason to BUY. While AMAZINGLY real marketers give you every reason to followup after you purchase because we WANT to see you successful.

Lastly Mediocre affiliate marketers and JVs tell you a deal is ending at a certain time. While AMAZINGLY real marketers apologize (like I did earlier) if we got it mixed up (laughing). << OK I had to insert that one for me.

Well unless you been on the moon (or just not on this site laughing) you know that Niche Profit Classroom has launched.

  1. Talking of Selling doesn’t sell – so “stop bitching and get to work”  Bob Proctor of all people said that in Six Minutes to Success. I loved it and had to share. He wasn’t kidding. So many people are wining about their problems and not addressing their focus on solutions. I am telling this to my Niche Profit Classroom mentoring group now. Talk is cheap get to moving! Let me tell you something the people that last online are the ones that follow this formula. MINDSET+FOCUS+KNOWLEDGE+INSTRUCTION+ACTION+ASSESSMENT+REPETITION= MASSIVE SUCCESS….PERIOD.
  2. Your in a GOLDEN ERA that wont be here forever.Now more than any time in the history of the world you have a massive wealth of resources. Especially if your in America! Americans really have no excuse but to game up their business because everyone is always trying to come here. What does that tell you about opportunity? And with the internet era just multiply what I just wrote by 1 million. End the talk SHUT UP and SELL.
  3. Money is No Longer an Excuse to Not Produce: in the past 10 years since the turn of the century do you realize what has happened? OPEN SOURCE BABY!!! This very site is making money from resources that cost one thousands of a fraction that what it cost in 2000. FREE Content management system FREE plugins and apps and scripts. Less than $30 bucks to start a website the right way. Now thats $30 as in $10 a year for domain registration and $20 a month for hosting as many sites as you want. So for $30 bucks you can reach billions! your broke? WHY??
  4. If someone doesn’t do business with you be nice and move on. I have seen a lot of people return to do business with me because I am nice but VERY REAL. No matter how much you try to help people they (some) are on a path to destruction. However on the bright side if your nice and communicative you will be surprised how much business they might bring to you. Don’t beat a dead horse. Just put it out to pasture and see if it appreciates you later or moves on.
  5. To HELL with internet marketing focus on where internet marketing is NOT. If you learned karate would you rather fight someone who KNOWS karate OR would you use it on people who didn’t know the art? HEY this is business FUCK FAIR. I am not saying be dishonest. I am saying leverage your skills in an ethical way. Having  greater skills and the better mousetrap isn’t wrong or taking advantage of people. Give me ignorance over intelligence when it comes to my competitors anytime. STOP trying to do what everyone else is doing and SHUT UP and SELL (laughing but serious but still laughing). Sell by focusing on problems unrelated to the internet marketing world. hey what about the REAL world?
  6. The One who solves the problem BEST not first wins! Just because your first doesn’t mean JACK. Google, Microsoft, Apple, WalMart, and Facebook were NOT first in their respective niche industries. But they are the BEST. Solve or resolve a problem and you will sell. No talk just DO IT.
  7. Time is Running OUT: As I said in the Golden Era reason this the BEST time to sell online. But tomorrow is promised to no one. Also the window of opportunity is going to change and do a paradigm shift.

So what are you going to do? Keep on doing what your doing or get your assets up and solve to sell? Or are you going to fade out like most online businesses do because you found out it takes work and you can’t do it your fantasy way?

The idea is that in order to be successful you must discover what doesn’t work quickly and then move on. It is called Fail Fast Forward. You take massive action and then massive detailed assessment of your results. And if it didn’t work you move forward. But you NEVER give up!

OK I avoided my mistake long enough (laughing).

Short version is I built popular sites that showed little returns. Some of my sites had hundreds of thousands of visitors every month. Yet little sale conversions. So a few years back I started a little site and discovered by accident what I was doing wrong. As I say in my profits vs popularity article “the profitable stay small and don’t worry about being popular.”

The little site was making more money with way less traffic. Why? because people wanted the items I was selling of course but it is much deeper than that.

Another  problem I had was I couldn’t figure out exactly “how” to repeat my little sites success. I more than understand that online it isn’t about doing 5000 things one time but doing 5 things 1000 times. In fact I coined that phrase. But I wasn’t sure exactly “what” to repeat 1000 times.

Oh and quick note as I explain in Why Niche Markets NEVER Show Their Sites I wont tell you what the little site was because it would increase added competition. I am still making money with from that site.

So one day a business partner and another blogger introduced me to Niche Profit Classroom. What Adam the creator at NPC confirmed for me was how to develop a method to repeat my first little sites accidental success.

  • To Hell with popular bring on the profits: Your readers are nice and great people. But in order to be in business you need customers.
  • KNOW if you you are going to make money BEFORE you set the site up: 98% of my sites make money and through research I knew they would. In niche marketing 70-80% involves research.
  • Shut up and Sell: as I say in 7 Reasons to Shut up and Sell you didn’t come this far to get your butt kicked did you?  Don’t worry about those non buying readers who say they “love” you for sharing FREE info for their benefit yet have the audacity to criticize you for offering premium things to sell. FOCUS on your customers.
  • Solve to Sell: I said it best ion another article. Solve a problem and I almost guarantee you it will lead to a customer.
  • FOCUS on people who “desperately” need problems solved: That makes the difference between a customer today and a customer a month from now or never.
  • Small is the NEW Big online (BELIEVE IT): STOP trying to kill yourself over traffic when it is not a question of traffic it is a question of targeted soon to be converted visitors.
  • Get a good foundational program: I already told you earlier what worked for me (NPC). that was a way for me to establish a base of thinking that changed the way my company did business.

WHY would I tell you about this if I am doing so well?

Simple: instead of giving you the cliche “I care about helping people” comment I thought I get RAW and REAL with you. Don’t get it wrong I do care about helping people but here are some equally real answers:

Many of you may know I used to work for the Universal Music Group in the past. One of their labels of course is Interscope which helped launch rap superstar Eminem. Shortly after his first album The Slim Shady LP hit the streets Eminem went from being a highly underestimated rapper to a household name.

And then in 2000 came the next album Marshall Matters LP which was right before a mega tour. The University of Chicago was lucky enough to schedule him to a sold out performance for their annual spring event. This was actually a really rare and unique show because there were (3) acts. Eminem was the headliner but then there was rock band Goldfinger, and Hip Hop legendary band The Roots. The cool part was all 3 were under the Universal Music Groupumbrella just different record labels. So I got a chance to work all three.

So while Goldfinger is playing I went to Eminems dressing room and met him for the first time. He was a very mild mannered humble guy no major ego at all. We talked about the funny stories from the last album and the things he was doing for this one. We also discussed his new lifestyle and how the sudden success of heis debut album changed the way he lived.

AND THEN IT HAPPENED……

It was time for Eminem to hit the stage. So me and roughly 2 people with him walked out of his dressing room. Side note: the real rappers don’t have “entourage” they just have 1-3 people that usually consist of a road manager, hype guy (guy who pumps up the crowd before and while he is onstage) , and an assistant. This was before he was recieving death threats thus less personal security. Well as soon as we walked out of the dressing room the stage manger introduces Eminem to someone…….

Since I started writing about the 10 year old girl that is making $3,000 a month in niche marketing. I have been getting a lot of requests to reveal both her site and a few of mine. I totally understand why you would ask for proof. On the internet you need it. But here lies the challenge with that type of proof. Proving to you opens my site to extra (in many cases a flood) of competition.

What happens when you reveal a website to the public

Niche Profit Classroom founder Adam Short revealed his Betta Fish site in late 2008. Since that time a TON of sites have popped up to challenge him.

See the way niche marketing works is that we are finding a low competition market with specialized search tools. We then apply a special method (actually several) to determine the competition level and quality. Then assess the sales history. Then we INVADE. Once invading we wait for results. Assess progress over the first 15 – 30 days. Then we re reassess and fine tune.

There is more to it than this but that is a simple overview of how it works.

Niche Marketers Nightmare

The worst thing in the world is to fine tune a site build a following of customers then EVERYONE finds out. Imagine its the late 1840s in California. Gold is discovered. You travel out to strike it rich. After weeks you discover  nugget. Do you tell others? Well I wouldn’t (laughing).

Whats funny about Niche Profit Classroom was when I discovered it actually WORKED I didn’t tell anyone for like 6-7 months. Then I discovered (2) things.

1. Read how people who sell GREAT programs can afford to tell others

2. There are over 600,000 niches and micro sub niches. So no worries of bumping into each other.

Well Through Niche Profit Classroom I am a living example it does work.

But to answer that question more directly I would say the single most clearest judge to you should be your senses. That’s what made me choose them a year and half  ago. I mean here was this guy (Adam Short) talking in a non hypy way. He was sharing a TON of information. Do you realize when you signup to this free email you get hours of educational video? And his stuff is educational not presentational. So ask yourself what do you see, hear. think, and feel? So much for my so called manipulative sales pitch huh (laughing hard) ?

In conclusion niche markers hide their sites to avoid more competition. The way to see if anyone is real is to check what they constantly say and exactly HOW they say it. I learned through the entertainment industry that authenticity come through time and talent not title and money.

I usually have a longer post but I wanted to share a quick yet HARD lesson I learned years ago. I even talk about it in my 90 second solution for building sites. I was building MEGA sites (4 of them). This was one of the BIGGEST mistake I ever made because I was associating popularity with profits.

The profitable stay small and don’t worry about being popular. In fact in my line of work (REAL niche marketing) being popular can put you out of business really quick. In fact it would be like sticking your right hand in a piranha pool. Your almost assured to be called “lefty” really soon.

That’s doesn’t mean you are selling out your love, talents, and dream. Believe me you can turn those into a LOT more money than your making right now. The question remains do you want to do it the right way?
