Brands Should Tell the Story

Hey this is a very known online entrepreneur named Gary Vaynerchuk who has a very impassioned video about telling the story. Now for the record I am still OK with the press release in certain areas and industries. The point here is to focus on his point about the story.

Another way to look at it is like this. We are in a drive-thru society (coined from the drive thru created by McDonald’s) where we want it NOW. But we will spend good money to watch a movies and rent videos. Why? We want the story. The story is why Star Wars, and On Golden Pond, and the Godfather exist as such tremendous hits.

Again don’t worry if you are publicity/PR person about his attack on traditional media. Its is one of Gary does best shake things up. In the future I will post options vs. traditional press releases.
