OK I know I am going to get a lot of emails, DMs, and calls on this one so here goes.

I know all of us have seen the BIG HYPE about this new application called Kajabi. But first I would like to say this:

I am not a HATER this is not a I am mad a Andy Jenkins the Kajabi creator review

I want to get that out the way. There are several things that I want to share that should help clarify this whole Kajabi Phenomena.

What the Heck is a Kajabi?

Kajabi is a new cross application that helps you manage your landing pages, email list building campaigns, and sales funnels all in one place.

Kind of like a universal remote for your TV, DVD player, stereo. So if say your using aweber for email marketing which I strongly endorse (there are no affiliated links in this article). And you have a landing page, a shopping cart like 1shoppingcart then you can integrate then and setup campaigns etc from Kajabi.

Membership sites/ Community sites

Another feature they are providing is a way to create a customer community through a membership site.

Landing pages, Sales Funnel, Shopping Cart integration, Email signup, Autoresponder, Membership sites.

Sounds great huh? But wait there are a few issues Kajabi doesn’t answer.

OK Here is the REALITY check with Kajabi

Kajabi is not free it is a 14 day free trail. And afterwards a monthly charge. Now for the record I don’t think these are bad prices below given you are making more than what they are charging.

Here are 3 MAJOR challenges to using Kajabi.

Challenge 1: If you suffer from information overload and a lack of ONLINE entrepreneur PURPOSE. Then Kajabi will BLEED YOU DRY. But it isn’t because they are scamming you or trying to dupe you. It is because it will still take you time to wrap your head around their system by using your purpose and talents to make money online.

Challenge 2: If you only have ONE source of online income DO NOT use Kajabi. WHY? Imagine wanting to leave or your business hits a bump. Kajabi in the video below says that if you cancel ALL OF YOUR CONTENT WILL BE ERASED. And hey I am not saying that they are wrong for doing that after all your no longer paying them why should they keep it on there? But then you have to find other solutions to fill the gap of the remaining business you were getting. Like the investment people say never put all of your eggs in one basket.

Challenge 3: If you do NOT have a running online business making at least $200 a month DO NOT buy Kajabi. Hey challenges 1 and 2 may not be a problem for you. So lets say you have for example (3) sites each earning around $100 a month. Here is why you should rethink about going to Kajabi with at least one of those sites.

Kajabi will cut your investment in half and unless YOU have a way to grow your sales with their application.

Darren you don’t have these 3 challenges are you using Kajabi?

I don’t wanna (KIDDING). Seriously here is why I am not in favor of Kajabi.

When I was a kid my grandmother taught me how to add numbers very quickly. But of course if there were too many numbers I would (and still do) grab a calculator. I am not Dustin Hoffman’s rain man character. I can’t tell you what 134 multiplied by 198 is inside of 60 seconds (laughing). But I can tell you the percentage on a sale instantly or the 2 set number addition and multiplication answers quicker than most.

What I am saying here is that I was taught long ago how to solve problems without relying on technology to solve them for me. Nothing wrong with grabbing a easy calculator (or fantstico cpanel in some cases). But if I relied on a calculator all the time being without one would WEAKEN you.

Kajabi solves a problem for some but potentially weakens the problem solving ability of online entrepreneurs. I am not saying take the hard road but realize with Google and other search there are other avenues IF your a intermediate blogger or online entrepreneur.

Lastly there is an admitted TRUST factor

If my memory serves me correctly one or two of the GURUs associated with Kajabi have been SLAPPED and or BANNED by Google, Authorize.net, and Twitter. Do you really want them to have access to your sales data or campaign information? Because I do not. I am not saying they would but by association there is always a possibility.

So Darren What do I do if I am a non tech person?

The first thing you do is STOP paying the price with your lack of knowledge by doing your homework. So I am going to lay this out for you.The following are NON affiliate related to me services you can use.

Kajabi streams videos uploaded: so does most hosting companies. It is a standard thing to have unlimited bandwidth. Don’t get me wrong you can’t go crazy but for $20 hosting package I almost guarantee you your covered on streaming. Hey listen I am not saying become one but sooner or later you got to learn this stuff or pay the cost of not knowing it.

Kajabi launch pages: good idea to have a software to make these. But there are plenty of wordpress and HTML templates you can create with free software. And if you stop using them they wont delete your pages…Kajabi will.

Kajabi is selling Microsoft packaging. Is Kajabi relevant? Possibly, only time will tell. As we all know Microsoft is certainly is relevant.But that doesn’t stop the pros from using Google Docs, Open Source Word Documents, Firefox, Mac, and Safari.

Nothing replaces research, education, instruction, and consistent follow through. Coupled with assessment and affirmation of your online purpose Kajabi will begin to look different to you.

You must begin to learn the sales funnel, landing page, email marketing, and how membership sites are made without Kajabi. The world is your search engine and there is a ton of options. The MOST important thing you could purchase right now is instruction. You need someone who will give it to your strait.

Don’t let shiny thing syndrome stray you from your life’s path. All that Kajabi (or glitters) ain’t gold. STAY FOCUSED.

Recently you have heard a LOT about Niche Profit Classroom 3.0 launch or relaunch from 2.0. The reason was because I don’t just refer it but actually do it. NPC 2.0 (old version) made me thousands. Now 3.0 is going to make me and others a lot more.

“But Darren isn’t the Product Launch Over?”

Isn’t it interesting how people disappear when the launch period ends? Seriously you will not hear about Niche Profit Classroom from some JVs until next year. This not to disrespect them or call them phonies. There are several really good people who recommended NPC. But the major difference is:

1. They don’t actually do it and aren’t members of NPCs underground society

2. They are only promoting this to you for an initial time and because of reason #1 they cant talk in depth about NPC.

You can tell the difference between a JV or affiliate marketing campaign and someone who actually does it by the following:

Mediocre affiliate marketers and JVs call themselves affiliate marketers and JVs while AMAZINGLY real marketers call them selves by their first name and never use the A or J word.
Mediocre affiliate marketers and JVs promote a product or program while AMAZINGLY real marketers take ownership of it and can break it down piece by piece.
Mediocre affiliate marketers and JVs END their promotions at a certain time then move on to the next new hot shiny thing. While AMAZINGLY real marketers will talk about it all year long and in detail. i.e. video preview, interviews, personal stories, and testimonials etc. I mean if it was great 2 weeks ago and the hottest thing out why are you selling something else with the same dialogue?
Mediocre affiliate marketers and JVs give you every reason to BUY. While AMAZINGLY real marketers give you every reason to followup after you purchase because we WANT to see you successful.

Lastly Mediocre affiliate marketers and JVs tell you a deal is ending at a certain time. While AMAZINGLY real marketers apologize (like I did earlier) if we got it mixed up (laughing). << OK I had to insert that one for me.

Battle Tested Online Business Ideas for Affiliate Marketing

Don’t worry this will be a short post I have been doing a lot of long ones lately (laughing). The long and short articles are part of my content mix and development strategy. I did a controversial post some time ago called 3 Reasons NOT to Become an Affiliate Marketer. That post kind of ticked off a LOT of people LOL. On twitter they were like “Darren your wrong about affiliate marketing blah blah blah.” But once I clarified my position people got where I was coming from.

Online Business Ideas for Affiliate Marketing the RIGHT WAY

1. Build from the niche up

Start with your research as I point out in 7 Essential Steps to Launch an Online Business. Before do affiliate this or that you need to build your niche site and email list FIRST. That mystical “make money without a website” crap will set you up to FAIL You can’t become independently wealthy without owning your own website. So sorry to burst your bubble.

2. Relationships anyone?

There are people out there so busy calling themselves a generalized word like “Affiliate Marketer” but where is the relationship? Do you know that the BEST salespeople don’t really call themselves sales people? Kind of like the rich doesn’t call themselves rich. Keep in mind you are reading this from someone who has made thousands in affiliate marketing. And yet I REFUSE to call myself an affiliate marketer. I am good ole problem solving over delivering Darren. Darren will make 12 sales for every 1 sale of an “affiliate marketer”. People buy from people not affiliate marketers.

3. Brand yourself not the affiliate program

Hey people buy from people not affiliate marketers. You should understand that by now by reading number 2. The BEST ways to brand yourself are through

3. ENDORSE WHAT YOU ENFORCE

I had to put that in big words. There is a guy who always tweets things to buy that he himself NEVER uses. Well what the hell?! Why would I buy something you don’t even know if it is good or not?

Quality over quantity

The MAJORITY of affiliate marketers I have come across do NOT followup after the sale. I know this can get tricky because you need to actually get your peoples information to do that. But of course that is where #2 with relationships come in. I send for instance private emails about Niche Profit Classroom all the time. I m more than happy to help people. That’s because I am actually doing this program for a year and half plus and LOVE IT!

Conclusion

Don’t call or market yourself as a affiliate marketer. Because you will doom yourself to generalizations and boredom. All the time wondering why you don’t sell.

Lead the world from YOUR NAME and BRAND! You can do this while leveraging your premium products and sales through affiliate programs.

Be a person, be a problem solver, be a brand (remember a brand is simply a promise to deliver something), and enforce your endorsements!

An Amazing Affiliate Story! $5000 in 5 Hours!

I have an amazing story to share. A short time ago I launched my Twitter program. I have been very proud of this project because its an amazing opportunity to build your Twitter following the RIGHT way. And it doesn’t involve BOTs or software. 1.You don’t control the sites your linking to and your source feeding (building the other guys email list) your leads to someone else.

2. The name has a stigma of “amateur” to it. Real marketers call them selves either marketers or their title alludes to a greater picture (entrepreneur, blogger etc.)

3. Your not unique. You are one of thousands of others promoting the same thing. thus you have no unique selling proposition.
