I just saw profitstheme, am on a kajabi trial, and just saw profits theme on your site. It sounds like I can set these processes up, ie membership site, squeeze pages, sales pages, all by myself with no techie skills involved. Will profitstheme present a step by step solution as to how it is all done in their program so that any newbie can do it? And what about download file security? Would love to have a solution that was stable, that I could use for years without having to move my customers around again. I just spent the better part of a week getting things set up in Kajabi, but you make a valid point about losing everything when you leave Kajabi. While I can install a theme and plugin into wordpress on my own domain, I don’t want to have to ftp anything b/c all my stuff is on xsitepro and I’ve never had to learn how to do that techie stuff. Thanks for hitting me back when you have a moment.

First Loretta thank you for reaching out and I commend you on your work. My mother 11 years ago before passing away was DENIED her disability through Social Security when she obviously needed it. So what you are doing is VERY needed!
Allow me to break down your intelligent and well thought out questions:

Answer: Yes but since you don’t even know FTP there is a learning curve. I am actually developing a program to do that. PT shows you the basics yes for setting up. But beyond that you would need my program when it releases this year.
Loretta you need to get to wordpress in general because you should control your data not Kajabi. As far as methods to do that as a non techie person here are a few.
1. You need a person to setup your basic wordpress site on a hostgator plan.
2. You need a template installed but frankly should have access to wordpress training videos in case you need to find out how to say add image or video in your posts.
3. Download file security comes in several forms. profits theme is one but Wishlist is another I highly recommend. Whether it is Kajabi, profits theme , Wishlist or whoever frankly in the digital world there is no safe.
The main focus here though is that you want to have “Control” and Kajabi is a major issue.
I know this gives you some decisions to make and that wordpress which is the largest content management system in the world is your best bet.
I would setup a transitional method and alert my customers this was happening and why.
Plan now for the transition. In the long term of your business YES there is a learning curve but what you are learnng is a CMS (content mangement system) that will help you in the long run.
So what now? Go to Wishlist for the membership site and consider profits theme as a great theme but honestly since your new consider using someone to customize you a theme instead since your new.
