How to Serve a Country

“This is not history but a chance to make it
This is not destiny but a chance to embrace it
Upon the heels of our souls lie the opportunities of unchartered waters and the hope of enlightenment. It is with spiritual maturity and courage that we stand together in the mist of our transitions.
And with a sudden calmness we breathe relief yet wisdom that we must prepare for our greatest challenges!” – Darren Scott Monroe
How to Serve a Country
Slowly we roll up our sleeves sort out our tools, study the plans, strategies, and tactics laid before us. Those who wait cautiously in the mist of change I caution waiting. Those who greet change enthusiastically I enthusiastically ask that you pace your energy over time.
There is work to be done.
The greatest thing about United States of America is that we are structured to benefit from the contributions of others in the most diversified ways.
Like all presidents before our 44th President Barack Hussein Obama. We (citizens or not) will at one point disagree with the decisions of our new leader. But no matter what your political, economic, social, sexual, ethnic, or religious beliefs, we can all agree that this country our United States can be better.
Please allow me for a moment to share a vision.
Though all of our talents are needed and leadership yearned. The message, the connection, and belief must now be linked to a series of actions that execute change. Each of us in our own extraordinarily remarkable way can enact some form of change throughout our country and across the world. Whether it is through some form of community involvement, grassroots participation, and or online activism. There are certainly enough challenges that need our attention.
Even if you didn’t vote for our new leader and or your view of the year is not an optimistic one. I still highly encourage you to use your talents for the benefit of our nation and the world. How? That’s for you to answer. Because only you know how and where you’re best talents would benefit others most.
Beginning Monday January 26th I will share several of my and our corporations solutions to issues not only plaguing our country but the world. I know our solutions will not be for everyone. But I do believe they may just be bold enough to help some of you make a difference in your lives and or help others do the same.
I wish you the best of all things and ask that you make this your year of courageous action! -DSM
