This is part of an ongoing series I am posting with testimonials from members, cool excerpts from the content, and other Third Tribe information.
I have received a lot of questions about them especially after my 3 tribes article. So I know you are wondering what Third Tribe is all about. Well first let me tell you that I am a member (paying member) and also an affiliate thus the banners and links I have on this site and in this post. That means if you do decide to join by clicking any of these links I can stop sticking up little old ladies at the grocery store (laughing and kidding of course). I am going to explain to you WHY I joined and more importantly what is in it for you. I am also going to share some real people experiences from the members who come from a variety of backgrounds.
But first I have to admit something: I don’t know if this actually is for you. Only you can answer that. I will share some of my experiences and ideas about Third Tribe and several perspectives from the members and leaders. However from there the choice is yours.
The Founders and Leaders
Super bloggers Brian Clark, Sonia Simone of Copyblogger, Chris Brogan, and the legendary Darren Rowse of Problogger created Third Tribe. The concept began from a very long commented post on Copyblogger in February of 2009. Then the idea just grew from there.

In my opinion I think intermediate bloggers, writers, internet marketers will “GET” Third Tribe. Though we are in business of course for a profit we are not as aggressive in our tactics as say the more traditional internet marketers. In other words you will learn from experienced operators how to make money ethically while being cool. But again I believe only the people who have gone through the basics of starting a blog in my opinion should join.

I believe that Third Tribe is not for a specific skill-set, but rather a mind set. If you are a student of life, someone who looks for ways to learn from others at every opportunity then PUT THAT INTO ACTION for yourself, Third Tribe will be worth every penny for you.
If you prefer to be handed the promise of quick money on a silver platter, then Third Tribe will not satisfy you.

I started in the Third Tribe as soon as it started in February 2010. This was something I had been waiting for ever since Brian, Sonia, Chris, and Darren announced it was coming at the BlogWorld Expo 2009 conference.

Since joining, the Third Tribe has helped me tremendously in two ways: one, I’m learning tons; two, I’m making great connections with people who feel the same way I do about building and marketing online media properties. Anyone who wants to earn a good living while still being able to live with themselves and sleep peacefully at night should join the Third Tribe.
